What is Endodontic Retreatment?
Root canals are a safe and common procedure with a 90-95% success rate when performed correctly and with appropriate after care. In some cases a root canal may fail or need further treatment months or even years after the original root canal was completed.
A thorough examination, along with x-rays, and 3-D imaging will help determine what may be causing the problem.
If it is determined that your tooth needs to be retreated endodontically, we will reopen your tooth to remove the old filling from the original root canal. We will thoroughly inspect and clean your tooth’s canals to prevent any further infection.
Finally, we’ll refill and reseal the canals.
